Piedmont Hair Transplant

In Italian, pedemontano means “foothill”. The Piedmont region in northwest Italy consists of many foothills, as does the one that’s a little bit closer to us:  Alameda county’s Piedmont. A visit here immerses one in a culture of close-knit families with traditional values. Major holidays are celebrated on the streets where all can participate. These include a 4th of July parade, a Thanksgiving turkey trot, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Piedmont also consists of many active charities and community groups. It serves as a fine example of what people can accomplish when they work together.

Coincidentally or no, we at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration like to think of ourselves in the same light. Piedmont hair transplant patients who schedule a consultation for thinning hair treatment doubtless will recognize the team effort on display. Since 2008 we have been conducting hair transplant procedures for clients of all genders and ethnic backgrounds. This is highly important, since follicular units differ from patient to patient, and must be treated accordingly. For instance, patients with curly hair used to present a more difficult challenge regarding the extraction of grafts; today, with modern advancements in hair harvesting, these challenges no longer exist. Visiting Piedmont

Most of Piedmont’s sidewalks are tree-lined, and its homes are large. These factors make it a great place to simply take a walk. Piedmont Park has a lot of paths; here one can stroll for miles and still not see it all. And there is Mountain View Cemetery, where an easy climb up one of its concrete passages rewards the adventurer with a splendid view of the entire graveyard.

Over on Broadway you will find the Museum Of Art And Digital Entertainment. This place is exactly what it sounds like—a museum of games and computers long since put out to pasture, but are still fun to touch base with, especially if you happen to be of the generation that grew up during their heyday. Drop by to have a go on the Atari 2600, the Nintendo Famicom, and many other classic consoles.

Dracena Avenue features the Dracena Quarry Park. It is a big place full of hiking trails, playgrounds, and dog runs. In fact, if you have a dog, it is probably the best park in all of Piedmont to go see. Check it out.

Hair Restoration From A Winning Team

The two main surgical treatments for thinning hair are follicular unit transplantation and follicular unit extraction. The FUT method involves harvesting donor hairs from the scalp in strips. FUE is more advanced, in that the hairs are extracted individually, leaving very little evidence that surgery took place at all. Each hair actually consists of 2 to 4 units, called grafts. So for every 500 hundred grafts, we are able to transplant about 1,000 hairs, and so on and so forth.

For most patients, we elect to go with FUE. It is not only more effective, with less evidence left behind, the healing time is also faster. Also with FUE, we can harvest donor hairs from different parts of the body, not just the scalp. This last is an excellent benefit for those patients whose scalps cannot provide healthy enough specimens for a successful transplant.
