Itchy Scalp After Hair Transplant

Hello! It’s been a long time.
This is XXXX emailing you for my boyfriend.
Everything seems good. The front area is almost fall out everything, but he said the front area is really itching… so I’m just wondering, is this normal happening for growing new hair???
Also the donor area is itching some times.

Hi there,
Losing hair 2-3 weeks following surgery is completely normal and most people will experience it during their post-op period.
Itching may also result in the few weeks/months after a hair transplant due to the process of healing and inflammation of the skin that is related to it. In most patients we do not need to do anything about it, but if it gets worse and unbearable, please do not hesitate to contact us so that some topical ointments (i.e.- mild steroids) can be used.
